4Laina's Orphans In South Africa (4L.O.I.S.A.) is an organization that helps the littlest victims of aids, poverty, abuse and crime. These children have been either abandoned, orphaned, or just suffering due to the aids epidemic sweeping the continent of Africa. 1/3 of the population of Africa has the aids virus .

Finally the world is opening it's eyes and wallets in an attempt to save the people that are in such severe need.........so much more needs to be done.........the situation is just over whelming.

Laina is South African born and raised now residing in the USA. However her heart is with her people in South Africa and Laina is doing any and everything possible to help them. She resigned from her job in February 2006 and went to South Africa for almost 5 months to do what she could where she was needed. A life changing experience. Since her return she has had fund raisers to put smiles on the childrens faces, food in their little stomachs and clothes on their bodies.

There are countless mouths to feed on a daily basis.

A very special thanks to the the LDS church in Lake Elsinore Ca. The young ladies took on the project of designing t shirts for 90 children who will be receiving them as holiday gifts. God bless them.

T SHIRT DRIVE

DEC 2007

The t shirts, toothburshes, pencils & neon braceletts were given to the kids at their party Dec 15. Along with food treats the kids were very happy. So another successful event thanks to all of you.

Wonderful things are happening and you will be kept up to date as they unfold.
Nov 20, 2007 A school in Boksburg North has been added to our need/help list. There are 300 children in this school that are starving to death. There is no electricity or running water. We are obtaining info. on how to get those on again. We are taking them bread every Thursday but that is not enough. I will keep you posted on this horrible situation as things progress. August 2008 things have slowly but surely changed at the school. We are able to give each child a dry piece of bread and a cup of coffee every morning.We have also started a soup kitchen a couple of days a week. Please see letter from the principal.
As of now the power is on and the water is flowing. Bread is being taken to the school every Thursday. We are working on several more projects to hopefully be completed asap.

A large playground of swings, slides, cargo net, steering wheels, barrels and ropes has been donated by Gigi Hudgens of Redding Ca. to be set up at Sky Str. township in Boksburg Gauteng. The playground is scheduled to be delivered and set up soon!
6/13/07 The swing set is up and the kids are playing to their hearts content!
