4Laina's Orphans In South Africa (4L.O.I.S.A.) is an organization that helps the littlest victims of aids, poverty, abuse and crime. These children have been either abandoned, orphaned, or just suffering due to the aids epidemic sweeping the continent of Africa. 1/3 of the population of Africa has the aids virus .

Finally the world is opening it's eyes and wallets in an attempt to save the people that are in such severe need.........so much more needs to be done.........the situation is just over whelming.

Laina is South African born and raised now residing in the USA. However her heart is with her people in South Africa and Laina is doing any and everything possible to help them. She resigned from her job in February 2006 and went to South Africa for almost 5 months to do what she could where she was needed. A life changing experience. Since her return she has had fund raisers to put smiles on the childrens faces, food in their little stomachs and clothes on their bodies.

There are countless mouths to feed on a daily basis.

A great big thank you to all of you who donated in 2008. You made life a bit easier for those who have so little.

2009 has arrived and your help is still very badly needed. I have received donations for supplies for Comet Primary School and thank you so much for that. In a couple of weeks they will receive many brand new chairs and that will be the start of the makeover. Pics and updates to follow.

It is with a broken heart that I write this. God took my beloved aunty Maureen to be with him on Monday Nov 24th. She is safe in the arms of God now. We will miss her forever as the work she has done for the poor and the orphanes will never be forgotten. She was one in a million.

We will continue the wonderful work she started so many years ago and with your help it makes it easier.

October 2008

Many wonderful things in the making. Collecting donations for chairs, blankets, sinks, toilets etc for Comet Primary School in Boksburg. The 750 students would be so greatful for a school make over! Lets make it happen!

  • 4LOISA has been incorporated. Next step is to obtain a non profit #.
  • Wonderful things are happening and you will be kept up to date as they unfold.
  • Nov 20, 2007  A school in Boksburg North has been added to our need/help list. There are 750 students that attend school daily inspite of going for days without a bite to eat! We are taking them bread every Thursday but that is not enough. I will keep you posted on this situation as things progress. August 2008 things have slowly but surely changed at the school. We are able to give each child a dry piece of bread and a cup of coffee every morning.We have also started a soup kitchen a couple of days a week. Please see letter from the principal.
  • As of now the power is on and the water is flowing. Bread is being taken to the school every Thursday. We are working on several more projects to hopefully be completed asap.

DONATIONS

  •  Brand new car was donated to aunty Maureen and aunty Joyce by a very special person from the USA.
  • All About Eyes in Oceanside has made 2 generous donations
  • Friends and Family have supported this project.
  • A large playground of swings, slides, cargo net, steering wheels, barrels and ropes has been donated by Gigi Hudgens of Redding Ca. to be set up at Sky Str. township in Boksburg Gauteng. The playground is scheduled to be delivered and set up soon!
    6/13/07 The swing set is up and the kids are playing to their hearts content!
  • A great big thanks to Dr. Jesus E. Martinez DDS of Norco Ca. 951-817-1166 for his donation of a case of tooth brushes!
